Creative Filter's Landline Replacement — powered by the ONSIM mobile network — is a straightforward, drop-in alternative: plug your existing phone into the box we provide and keep making and receiving calls exactly as before, on your existing number, without needing broadband or a VoIP app. It's a voice-calling service only, not a broadband product.

Landline Replacement is delivered using ONSIM's UK mobile network — a specialist telecoms provider that's been trading since 2013, with a large and growing base of UK customers already using their virtual landline and landline replacement services. Creative Filter handles your sign-up, billing and ongoing support directly, so you still have one local, familiar number to call if you ever need help — we just don't build the underlying network ourselves.
Is Landline Replacement right for you?
This is the option we point most home and small business customers toward when their old copper line is due to switch off and they'd rather keep their existing phone, number and habits than move everything to a mobile or a new app. If you don't have broadband, don't want one, or just want the simplest drop-in alternative, this is usually the easiest path.

What does it cost?
£12 a month including VAT for the service (unlimited UK calls), plus a one-off £115.20 inc VAT for the box — or spread the box over 12 months at £9.60/month on top, so £21.60/month for the first year, dropping to £12/month after that. No interest or fees either way.
Will my phone still work the same?
Yes — you keep using your existing handset exactly as before.
Can I keep my current landline number?
Yes, we handle porting your existing number across as part of the setup.
Do I need broadband for this to work?
No — calls run over the mobile network via the box we provide, not over an internet connection.
What happens with 999 calls?
Emergency calls work as normal and are free. Your registered installation address is held against the number, so the emergency operator can see where you are. The box has battery backup so it keeps working through a power cut — just use a corded handset, since cordless bases need their own mains power.
Can I use this with a telecare, personal alarm or lift emergency phone?
No — this is a voice-calling service only. It isn't suitable for telecare or social alarms, personal or pendant alarms, monitored intruder or fire alarm diallers, lift emergency phones, or any equipment that automatically dials an alarm centre. If you or a family member relies on one of these, speak to your provider about a digital or mobile alarm unit instead — we're happy to advise.
